IGSA is delighted to announce the launch of IGSA Junior Sport, commencing in 2027.
This exciting initiative marks a significant milestone for IGSA and our members’ schools, providing a dedicated sporting program designed specifically for primary-aged students.
IGSA Junior Sport will create new opportunities for students to participate, develop skills, build friendships, and enjoy the many benefits that sport provides. Through a combination of Saturday Sport, representative pathways and carnivals, the program will support students throughout their sporting journey and strengthen connections across our school community.
Developed in consultation with members’ schools and key stakeholders, IGSA Junior Sport has been built around a shared commitment to providing high-quality sporting experiences that are inclusive, enjoyable, and student-centred.
The program also creates a seamless pathway through IGSA Sport, supporting students from their primary years through to senior competition and representative opportunities.
Over the coming months, further information regarding competitions, events, representative opportunities, and key dates will be shared with schools and families.
We would like to thank the many schools, staff and working group members who have contributed to the development of this exciting new chapter for IGSA.
